PILLAR 01 · GIE
Genomic Intelligence Engine.
The Genomic Intelligence Engine is where raw enterprise data becomes governed intelligence. It's the pillar every other part of the AI Fabric depends on — nothing downstream can be trusted if what GIE produces isn't.

What It Replaces.
Manual data engineering and ad hoc ETL pipelines — rebuilt, by hand, for every new data source and every new AI use case. GIE does this once, durably, for every source, continuously.
Five Capabilities.
Automated Data Structuring
Ingests structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data — ERP records, LIMS outputs, SCADA telemetry, PDFs, emails, clinical notes, regulatory filings, maintenance logs — and applies domain-specific semantic parsing to understand context, terminology, and relationships unique to the operational domain, without manual schema mapping.
Domain-Aware Knowledge Graph Construction
Builds domain-specific knowledge graphs capturing relationships, hierarchies, and dependencies that raw data alone can't express — regulatory workflows in pharmaceutical environments, equipment hierarchies in industrial settings, care pathways in clinical contexts — continuously updated as new data flows in, with no static snapshots or batch refresh cycles.
Provenance and Lineage Tracking
Every data point carries a provenance record: originating source, timestamp, processing transformation, quality score, and applicable policy rules — embedded in the intelligence record itself, immutable, and connected in a full lineage chain back to every downstream AI decision it informed.
Policy-as-Code Enforcement
Governance rules, access controls, data sovereignty requirements, and compliance obligations are encoded as executable policy, not PDF documents — evaluated before any AI system accesses intelligence, with every policy change logged, time-stamped, and attributed.
Quality Scoring and Drift Detection
Every intelligence record carries a quality score — completeness, consistency, recency, domain-specific accuracy — with configurable thresholds per use case, and continuous drift detection that triggers automatic re-structuring when source data changes in ways that could affect AI reliability.
Why It's Called "Genomic."
A biological genome is the structured, inherited blueprint every cell relies on — it carries provenance, it carries the regulatory sequences that govern what gets expressed and when. GIE applies the same principle to enterprise data: structuring it into a governed layer that carries its own provenance, its own policy, and its own proof of quality, so nothing downstream has to take it on faith.
