FOR ENGINEERING
The Gateway, the Data Model, and Identity — How It's Actually Built.
Platform describes what the AI Fabric does. This section describes how it's built — the interfaces you'd actually integrate against, the way data is represented once it's governed, and the mechanics of identity and policy underneath every request.

How This Maps to the Fabric.
Each engineering surface corresponds to one of the Fabric's four pillars — same architecture, described at implementation depth instead of product depth.
| Engineering Surface | Maps To | What It Covers |
|---|---|---|
| Gateway & Verbs | AGA — Autonomous Genomic Agents | The bounded execution surface — how agents act, and how authority is enforced on every call. |
| Data Model | GIE — Genomic Intelligence Engine | How raw data becomes a governed intelligence record — the entities, not just the concept. |
| Identity & Policy | OAGL — Operational AI Governance Layer | How identity is verified and policy is evaluated, in real time, on every request. |
Design Principles.
A small, governed surface — not a sprawling API. The Gateway exposes a deliberately small set of verbs. Breadth of capability comes from composition, not from an ever-growing endpoint list.
Nothing bypasses governance. There's no back door, no bulk-import path, no service account that skips identity or policy evaluation. If it touches the Fabric, it's governed — including your own integration code.
Evidence is a byproduct, not an afterthought. Every call produces its own audit record automatically. You don't instrument logging separately — it's inherent to how the Gateway processes a request.
Where to Go Next.
Gateway & Verbs
The execution surface — what a verb is, how bounded authority is enforced, and how human-in-the-loop checkpoints work.
Data Model
The core entities — Intelligence Record, Provenance Chain, Knowledge Graph, Quality Score, Policy Binding.
Identity & Policy
How human and non-human identity is verified, and how policy is evaluated on every request, not on a schedule.
